Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his two siblings – elder brother Balabhadra and younger sister Subhadra.
President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the people on the auspicious occasion.

Lakhs of devotees have started thronging to pilgrim town Puri to witness the world famous Rath Yatra beginning today.
Three majestic chariots, Nandighosa of Lord Jagannath, Taladhwaja of Balabhadra and Darpadalan of Subhadra, have been kept ready in front of the 12th century shrine, which will be pulled by devotees. After fixing of wooden horses to the chariots, the pulling is scheduled to start by 4 pm.
The devotees will pull the grand chariots on the road covering a nearly 2.5 km distance.
