Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik has grieved the death of Bellaguntha Block Chairman Prasant Kumar Nayak, who passed away this evening while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here.
Taking to his ‘X’ handle, Naveen said that he was saddened to know about the demise of Prasant Kumar Nayak, Chairman of Bellaguntha Block and member of Biju Janata Dal.
The BJD President expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed peace to the departed soul.
ବେଲଗୁଣ୍ଠା ବ୍ଲକ ଅଧକ୍ଷ ତଥା ବିଜୁ ଜନତା ଦଳର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକର୍ତ୍ତା ପ୍ରଶାନ୍ତ କୁମାର ନାୟକଙ୍କ ବିୟୋଗ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରିବା ସହ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାର ବର୍ଗ ପ୍ରତି ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି।

Prasant Nayak, one of the most popular BJD leaders in Bellaguntha Block, was widely known for his organizational skills. He had previously served as Chairman of the Block from 2002 to 2007.
A pal of gloom has descended in Bellaguntha block and other areas in Ganjam district following the demise of Nayak.
