Naveen Inaugurates Eastern India’s Largest ECMO Center At SCB Medical College and Hospital

Cuttack: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the free ECMO Services in SCB Medical College and Hospital. The state of the art facility will have nine advanced ECMO Machines that can save precious lives. It is the biggest ECMO center in Eastern India and the largest in the country in the public sphere. Inaugurating the center, Naveen said, “This is the largest ECMO center in Eastern India and critical Covid patients now do not have to go outside the state for this treatment.

Highly qualified medical professionals have been appointed to impart this treatment. ECMO treatment is very costly, but the state government will provide the service free of cost. People will not have to pay the ECMO treatment expenses. Your Government will bear all the cost.

He also said, “ The memory of the second wave is very pain full. Lockdown has been relaxed, but the threat has not diminished. We have to be alert to face the third wave. Experts opine that children will be more affected in the third wave. For the safety of our children we have to obey the Covid Guidelines. I request you all to wear mask, wash hands and maintain social distancing.”
