Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the Plasma therapy facilities at the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur and VIMSAR, Burla in Sambalpur for the treatment of serious COVID-19 patients.
Inaugurating the plasma banks through video conferencing, the Chief Minister said that the facilities will help immensely to the critical Coronavirus patients of Southern and Western Odisha.
He also interacted with Dr. Subhransu Mohan Sahu working at CHC, Adapada, who became the first plasma donor at MKCG Medical College, and Rabindra Sahu, the first plasma donor at VIMSAR.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister again appealed all the eligible Coronavirus recovered people to donate plasma so that other critical patients can be treated.
With today’s inauguration, the number of Plasma facilities has gone up to five after Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.
