Berhampur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the much-awaited Ramalingeswar Park here through video conferencing.
The Ramalingeswar Park, developed in the iconic Ramalingam Tank, will add to the grandeur of the Silk City and boost tourism in Ganjam district.
With the opening of the water park, the 150-year old Ramalingam Tank has regained its aesthetic surroundings and ambience.
The entertainment park is spread across 8.15 acres and has a beautiful garden in 1500 sq meter area, six watch towers and water fountains.
The Ramalingeswar Park has also a 35 ft height Ramalingam statue, boating facility, 620 meter long elevated pathway, handicraft shopping complex, decorative lightings and tree decoration all along the tank in order to attract the visitors.
Meanwhile, the people of Silk City have expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the renovation and beautification work of this tank.
