Bhubaneswar: In a bid to make administration more accountable and responsive to the needs of common man, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the citizen centric ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi today.
Under the initiative, the Chief Minister will reach out to the common citizens and take their feedback on delivery of services at government departments.
Launching the programme from Capital Hospital and Saheed Nagar Police Station here, Naveen said that the Mo Sarkar is an initiative under 5T program to herald a transformation in government offices.
People are the real masters and every institution exists to serve citizens in a professional and dignified manner, he said.
He also spoke to the people who have visited the hospital and police station to know about their experiences.
In the first phase, the new initiative will be implemented at all police stations and District Headquarters Hospitals across the State.
The Chief Minister will collect feedback from 10 complainants every day on their experience at police stations and their phone numbers will be registered on ‘Mo Sarkar’ portal.
In the next phase, all the departments will execute the ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme by March 5, 2020, on the birth anniversary of late Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.
Notably, Naveen had announced the “Mo Sarkar” initiative during Independence Day celebration in the State.
