Naveen Launches Distribution of BSKY Smart Health Cards In Boudh; People of 19 Districts Can Now Avail Benefits

Boudh: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana Smart health cards in Boudh District. Naveen, who joined the program virtually, also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated developmental projects worth Rs 483 crore. With this, nineteen districts have been connected to the smart health card network. More than 3.72 lakh people of Boudh will get the benefits of cashless treatment at all the government hospitals of the state and more than hundred private empanelled hospitals outside the state.

During the launching ceremony, Naveen lauded the natural beauty of Boudh and said that its tourism development opportunities will be utilized to the fullest. He said that the Nandanban Safari will be developed with a cost of Rs 20 crore which will boost eco-tourism and provide livelihoods to more than 400 families. Likewise, another 37 tourism projects will be developed with an expenditure of Rs 4 crore.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also praised Boudh District for its success in milk production and declared that a milk chilling plant of 20 thousand liters will be set up in the district in the next one year. The plant will benefit more than 10 thousand milk farmers.
