Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched a single emergency helpline number ‘112’ to provide immediate assistance to people in distress.
The common helpline number will enable the people to get emergency services, such as police, fire and ambulance services.
Earlier, the citizens used to dial 100 (police), 101 (fire) and 102 (ambulance), for emergency help.
The people were facing difficulties in remembering these numbers.
The common emergency number will be easy to remember and people in distress would get faster response.
