Naveen Offers Prayers To Lord Jagannath; Reviews Ongoing Developmental Works

Puri: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today paid a visit to the Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri and offered prayers to the deities.

This is the first visit of the Chief Minister to the temple this year. He could not visit the temple on the New Year day due to the bereavement in family.

The Chief Minister greeted the people and reviewed the various developmental activities going on in the peripheral areas of the Srimandir.

5T Secretary V K Pandian and other senior officials of the district were present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister is also scheduled to launch projects worth Rs 510 crore under the ABADHA scheme to transform Puri into a World Heritage City.

The major projects include Shree Setu, Jagannath Ballav Pilgrim Centre, Multi-level car parking and Municipal Market Complex.
