Bhubaneswar: In a significant move, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today ordered SIT probe into the murder case of a five-year-old girl in Nayagarh district.
The Chief Minister announced the SIT probe and said justice would be delivered to the parents of the victim.
“My Government is always committed for free and fair investigation and we always want justice to be done, the CM said in a statement.
“I am deeply saddened by the incident. My Government will always stand for Rule of Law. I would request all the members to cooperate and participate.”, he added.
Earlier, the Odisha Government had directed a Crime Branch probe into the alleged abduction and killing of the five-year-old girl.
