Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today paid his humble tributes to Saheed Laxman Nayak on his birth anniversary.
Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister remembered Laxman Nayak’s contribution towards the country’s freedom movement and his fight for justice for the innocent tribals.
ବିପ୍ଲବୀ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ସଂଗ୍ରାମୀ ତଥା ମୁକ୍ତି ଯୁଦ୍ଧର ନିର୍ଭୀକ ସେନାନାୟକ ଶହୀଦ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ମଣ ନାଏକଙ୍କ ଜୟନ୍ତୀରେ ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଞ୍ଜଳି। ତାଙ୍କ ତ୍ୟାଗପୂତ ଆଦର୍ଶ ଜୀବନ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଜାତିର ଇତିହାସରେ ଏକ ମହାର୍ଘ୍ୟ ଅଧ୍ୟାୟ। ନିରୀହ ଆଦିବାସୀଙ୍କ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ସହ ଅନ୍ୟାୟ ଓ ଅତ୍ୟାଚାର ବିରୋଧରେ ସଂଗ୍ରାମ କରି ସେ ଏକ କାଳଜୟୀ ଉଦାହରଣ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଯାଇଛନ୍ତି। pic.twitter.com/CwOKNCHasX

Laxman Nayak was born on this day in 1899 in Koraput district. He was a prominent figure among the tribals in Odisha. He had raised his voice against the British rule for the rights of the tribal people.
