Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today paid his tribute to freedom fighter, prominent leader of Prajamandal agitation and former Deputy Chief Minister Pabitra Mohan Pradhan on his birth anniversary.
Pabitra Mohan Pradhan will always be remembered for his patriotism and selfless work for the development of the people, the Odisha CM tweeted.

Pabitra Mohan Pradhan was born at Poipal village in Dhenkanal district on this day in 1908 and he took up the job of a teacher after completion of his academic education.
He was arrested and imprisoned in 1939 by the British against whom he was fighting for freedom. However, he climbed over the jail walls in 1942 to join the `Quit India` Movement led by Mahatma Gandhi.
He was one of prominent figures in Prajamandal movement in Odisha.
