Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today paid tribute to legendary physician and former Chief Minister of West Bengal, Bharat Ratna Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy on his birth anniversary.
Roy’s birth anniversary is celebrated as National Doctors’ Day to honour the legendary physician and compliments all those associated with medical profession who are dedicated to keep people healthy and happy.
Roy was born on July 1, 1882 and died on the same date in 1962. He was honoured with the country’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna on February 4, 1961.
