As per the Koraput district administration, the strawberry cultivation was started in one village – Doliamba village of Kotia GP over 5 acres land last year. Following the success, the strawberry farming has been expanded to three more villages of GP covering 30 acres with the support of ITDA Koraput.
Currently, the strawberries made by the farmers are being marketed locally. The district administration has initiated efforts to help the farmers to sell their strawberries in Bhubaneswar, informed Koraput Collector Abdaal M. Akhtar.
