Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the Senior Officers Conference at the newly opened Convention center at the Loksava Bhawan. All IAS officers of Odisha, including all Secretaries and District Collectors will have a one-day brainstorming on Friday on various issues concerning the state. It is the first of its kind meet for the bureaucrats in the state.
The bureaucrats will brainstorm on some of the emerging issues pertaining to governance. Secretaries of all departments, all Collectors and other IAS officers have been asked to attend the day-long conference. Though the State Government generally organizes annual Collectors’ conference, it would be for the first instance when such a conference involving Collectors to Secretaries is being held.
According to a letter issued by the General Administration and Public Grievances Department, the issues on which the senior officers will brainstorm include New-age Technology and Innovation, Odisha: Leveraging Soft Power, Infrastructure for Growth, “Livable, Sustainable and Inclusive, the future Cities of Odisha” and Inclusive Governance.
