Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Cuttack on Saturday to pay his humble tributes to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on the occasion of his 125 birth anniversary.
The Chief Minister will offer floral tributes to Netaji at his statue in Cuttack, the birthplace of the legendary freedom fighter.
Naveen, who is part of the high-level committee constituted by the Centre to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in a befitting manner, will also lay foundation stone for the proposed state-of-the-art bus terminal at Khan Nagar in the Millennium city, according to sources.
The new bus terminus will be named after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as a mark of tribute to the great freedom fighter, the Odisha CM had announced earlier.
The nation will celebrate Netaji’s 125th birth anniversary on January 23 this year.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born at Odia Bazaar in Cuttack and received school education there. In a tribute to Netaji, the bus stand will be named after the legendary leader.
