Naveen Warns Strict Action Against Quarantine Violators

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has called for strict action against people who violate the quarantine guidelines and create indiscipline. The warning is especially meant for people who are returning from other states and are being kept in government quarantine centers. This comes just after few incidents in the state came to light regarding indiscipline in the quarantine centers in Ganjam and other places. There were incidents in which the returnees have escaped the centers and the administration had to launch a drive to nab them.

Naveen has said that the people returning from other states should abide by the guidelines for the welfare of themselves and their families. The Sarapanchas have the responsibility to inform the administration if there are is any indiscipline.

Naveen also said that the people coming back to the state are our own and any indiscipline at this juncture may lead to dangerous consequences. Efforts have been made for their safe return and quarantine. Today we are in a good position in the fight against the dangerous Coronavirus. Lakhs of people are engaged day and night with full dedication, commitment and extraordinary efforts. Those returning to the state should also have the same dedication and responsibility.
