Bhubaneswar: Legendary leader and statesman Biju Patnaik’s historic Dakota aircraft has reached Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
On this special moment, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik greeted the aircraft by showering flowers on it at the Bhubaneswar airport.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveen said that he is very happy that Biju Babu’s historic Dakota aircraft has arrived in Bhubaneswar today.
“Biju Babu has done many brave deeds in this aircraft. The best among them was the immense success in liberating the Indonesian freedom fighters from Dutch occupation. There was only one co-pilot with Biju Babu and she was my mother ‘Gyan Patnaik’, Naveen said.
Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian went to the airport with the Chief Minister.
The welcome ceremony was attended by Minister Ashok Panda, MLAs – Pranab Praksah Das, Anant Narayan Jena, Sushant Raut , BMC Mayor Sulochana Das, Principal Secretary of Commerce & Transport Department Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of E&IT Department Manoj Mishra and others.
