Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today wished Padma Shri D Prakash Rao a speedy recovery.
The noted social activist is currently undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack.
Expressing deep concern on the heath condition of Rao, the Chief Minister directed Cuttack Collector to supervise his treatment.
The CM also directed the official to provide free treatment to the Padma Shri awardee.
Rao, a tea seller from Cuttack, who had received the prestigious Padma Shri award for his contributions in the field of social work, was on Tuesday admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital after he complained of chest pain while attending a programme in Angul, media reports said.
