Bhubaneswar: Suspected Naxals have blew up a portion of the railway tracks on the Howrah-New Delhi line between Chichaki and Chaudharybandh railway stations in Giridih in Jharkahnd leading to disruption in train movements.
Railway officials and local police officers have reached the spot to take stock of the situation. The railways has also started work to repair the damaged portion of the rail track. The Naxals are observing Resistance Days from 21 to 26 January.
Due to the disruption, Railways has decided to run the 22824 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani, 12314 New Delhi-Sealdah Rajdhani, 12302 New Delhi-Hawrah Rajdhani and a number of other trains are being run on alternate routes.
