Nayagarh: An accountant in Nayagarh Municipality has been caught red handed by the vigilance sleuths while accepting bribe on Tuesday.
The officers of Vigilance, Bhubaneswar Division caught Ajaya Kumar Sathua, Accountant, Nayagarh Municipality, red handed while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 20,000 from Jagabandhu Sia of Nayagarh old town in order to release his security deposit cheque amounting to Rs.89,953.
The bribe amount has been recovered from Sathua. Further investigations are underway, sources said.
