NCERT Forms 10-Member Committee for Preparation of LTM for Kui, Desia Speaking Students of Odisha 

Bhubaneswar: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has constituted a 10-member committee for preparation of Learning-Teaching Material (LTM) for Kui and Desia speaking Kandha students and people of the Koraput, Gajapati, Malkangiri and Kandhamal districts of Odisha.

The Committee comprises Prof. B K Panda, Project Director, Center of Excellence for Studies in Classical Odia, Bhubaneswar, Odisha (Chairperson); Prof. Amarendra P Behera, Joint Director, CIET-NCERT, New Delhi (Member); Rudrani Mohanty, Asst Professor, CU, Koraput (Member); Kapil Khemandu, Asst Professor, CU Koraput (Member); Dr. Rajendra Padhi (Member); Dr. Gopabandhu Mohanty (Member); Dr. Subrat Prusty (Member); Dr. Mahendra Mishra (Member), Dileshwar Rama (Member) and Prof. Prakash Chandra Agrawal, Principal, RIE, Bhubaneswar (Member-Convener).

The Committee will work in collaboration with the Central University of Odisha, Koraput and develop LTM to facilitate the learning process of Kui and Desia speaking students and people, the NCERT said.

The Committee will assess the requirement of desired learning-teaching material for Kui and Desia speaking students and teachers teaching in schools of the Koraput District within a week. It will develop multilingual and pictorial LTM in the form of charts and posters by the end of July this year. The Committee may involve local community people, teachers and parents in a workshop mode for the development of relevant and contextual material, the NCERT added.
