New Academic Session for Odisha Schools to Start from April 3, Morning Classes from April 11

Bhubaneswar: The academic session 2023-24 for all government schools and government-aided schools in Odisha will commence from April 3, 2023.

In view of the summer ahead, all the schools in the State have been asked to start morning classes from April 11.

The morning classes will begin at 7 am and will continue till 11.30 am for the students of class I to XII, as per a notification issued by Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Saturday.

The district administrations can modify the schedule in view of the heat-wave condition in their respective districts, the notification stated.

The school authorities have been directed to ensure potable water and other necessary facilities for the students as a precaution for heat wave.

Earlier today, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash unveiled the Academic Calendars for elementary and secondary education along with a fresh edition of students’ diary.
