Koraput: The newly set up Adarsha Vidyalaya at Kotia has started functioning from the current academic year. As many as 59 students have taken admission in the 6th Standard. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had instructed the District authorities to speed up the establishment process of the school in the border area of Kotia Panchayat. Teaching has already started in the school.
The school, situated in the picturesque environment will provide quality CBSE pattern education to the students living in the remote bordering areas of Kotia Panchayat in Koraput. A hostel building with all facilities has been completed and a bus service is in place to carry the students to the School.
Speaking on the start of the academic session in the school, Collector Abdaal M Akhtar said that “ With Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s instructions, the school is now fully functional. The starting of the Academic Year at the Adarsha Vidyala at Kotia is a landmark event. It has all the advanced facilities as in other schools of the state. This year more than 50 students have joined. They will be provided all required amenities by the administration.”
