Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has urged the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) to facilitate citizen-centric services in the wake of implementation of the new amended Motor Vehicles (MV) Act 2019.
Transport Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda wrote a letter to the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in this regard.
He has urged concerned RTOs to make necessary arrangements for enhancing slots of learning licence and driving licence.
“You are hereby directed to make necessary arrangements to enhance more number of slots for both LL and DL test, install extra computers for LL test and also allow the applicant to appear test for LL and DL in the vacant slot where the slot allotted applicant is absent. You are also directed to open office in all government holidays for the above purpose to facilitate the public,” the Transport Commissioner said in a letter.
He also directed the RTOs to remain open even on holidays.
