Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today ordered for fifty percent salary hike of the junior teachers of the state schools. Both the permanent and contractual junior teachers will get benefitted with this salary hike. The hike will be effective from January 2022. The Government will incur an additional expenditure of Rs 168 crore per annum for this. More than 33 thousand teachers will be directly benefitted with this decision.
The junior teachers will henceforth get Rs 13,800 as salary against Rs 9,200 at present. Likewise, contractual Junior teachers who are getting Rs 7400 currently will get Rs 11,000 as salary from the month of January 2022.
