Bhubaneswar: NITI Aayog on Wednesday lauded Dhenkanal district for securing good ranking in basic Infrastructure sector and allocated additional allocation of Rs. 3 crores.
In a letter to the Chief Secretary, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant said, “NITI Aayog provides allocation to Districts securing ranks through the challenge method under the Aspirational Districts Programme . It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that on the basis of performance in the months of Sepember October , 2020 , Dhenkanal District in your State had secured good ranking Basic Infrastructure sector and is now entitled to receive additional allocation of Rs. 3 crores.”
“I would also like to congratulate the district team as well as Central Prabhari Officer ( CPO ) for their hard work. I am copying this letter to the CPO and DM/DC of the district concerned. I would request you to kindly issue a Good Service Entry to the District Collector for the excellent performance of the district.{, the letter added.
As per the scheme guidelines, districts are to prepare a Plan of Action / Project Proposal in consultation with the State and Central Prabhari Officers and the send the same to NITI Aayog for final approval of the Empowered Committee of Secretaries constituted for the Aspirational Districts Programme. NITI Aayog has constituted a Project Management Unit ( PMU ), comprising of a team of ADB and UNDP experts, to assist the Districts in formulation of projects.
NITI Aayog also asked the district collector to submit the Plan of Action/Project Proposal to the PMU ( pmu, tadp@lsmgr.nic.in ) by 15th January 2021 for availing the additional allocation.
