Bhubaneswar: In a major appreciation and boost for the Nabarangpur district for transforming a Anganwadi Centre into a centre of learning and attraction, the NITI Aayog today lauded the district administration for painting AWC as train compartment with no engine.
The train compartment-shaped Anganwadi centre has also become a selfie point for the visitors. It is the first Anganwadi in the district which has been built modelled on a train coach.
The attractive and efficient Model Anganwadi Centre has been constructed in the Aspirational District Nabarangpur under the leadership of Block Development Officer.

Completion status : completed during the financial year 2018-19
Previous Status : As reported by the villagers AWC was functioning in the helper house and classes of their children was going on in an adverse and unhygienic condition. The attendance was not satisfactory.
Project Outcome : Now at present after construction of the new AWC building under MGNREGS, attendance of the children how improved and classes are going on in a hygienic environment and proper manner.
