No Alliance Talk, Odisha BJP Spreading Rumors: BJD

Bhubaneswar: There is no alliance talk with the Odisha unit of BJP and the saffron leaders here are spreading the rumors, said ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Saturday.

In a press briefing, BJD national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sasmit Patra said that the alliance talk with the BJP is a sheer rumor.

Odisha BJP is struggling to find candidates for 147 Assembly and 21 Lok Sabha seats in the State. Hence, the saffron party is welcoming the leaders who have been expelled by the BJD for their anti-people activities and the leaders who have no future, Dr. Patra said.

The Biju Janata Dal is in a very strong position from the political point of view due to the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s people-oriented developmental works and 5T transformative initiatives. The Chief Minister-led party is going to win more than 120 Assembly seats and over 17 Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming elections, the BJD spokesperson said.

He further said that 4.5 crore people of Odisha have already made up their minds to bless Naveen Patnaik as the Chief Minister for the sixth time and ensure BJD a record number of seats.

Biju Janata Dal has always worked for the people of Odisha and the party is with the people and will continue to do so in the days to come, Dr. Patra asserted.
