No Ganesh Puja Celebrations at Public Places in Bhadrak Dist This Year

Bhadrak: In view of COVID-19 pandemic, the Bhadrak district administration has imposed restrictions on celebrations of Ganesh Puja at public places in the district this year.

“There shall be no Sarbajanina Ganesh Puja at any public place (including erection of stage/pendal) throughout the District of Bhadrak”, an order issued by the admin said.

However, there is no bar for performance of Puja of Lord Ganesh in Temples or permanent places of worship for the deity. Maximum of seven persons along with the sevayat/servitor are allowed to perform the rituals (Nitikanti) of the deity, it added.

No devotees will be allowed to enter in to the premises of temple to offer puja. However, the devotees are at liberty to perform individual puja at their respective houses/homes.

The heads of educational institution are allowed to perform Ganesh Puja as per guidelines issued by the Government, it added.
