No Stage, Contract Carriage to Originate or Terminate in Gajapati and Ganjam Districts

Bhubaneswar: The State Transport Authority has ordered that no stage/contract carriage on any intra or inter district and interstate routes shall originate or terminate its journey in Ganjam and Gajapati districts till further orders.

The decision has been taken in view of the various steps taken by Ganjam and Gajapati district Administrations to prevent spreading of Coronavirus (COVID 19) in those districts, and keeping in view safety and interest of travelling public, the Authority said.

However, stage/contract carriages plying on inter district and interstate routes and passing through Ganjam and Gajapati districts may ply on highways only without making any halt for picking or dropping down passengers in those districts, it added.
