Mumbai: Noted filmmaker Basu Chatterjee passed away in Mumbai today. He was 93.
Chatterjee was one of the pioneers of middle-of-the-road cinema. He was best known for directing films like Choti Si Baat, Rajnigandha, Baaton Baaton Mein, Ek Ruka Hua Faisla and Chameli Ki Shaadi and many more.
He was awarded National Film Award in 1992 for Best Film on Family Welfare for his film Durga.
The Bollywood celebrities mourned the demise of Basu Chatterjee.
