Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Friday apprehended Pranabahdhu Dandasena, GRS, Sunarisikuan G.P, Khariar Block in Nuapada district along with a private person for allegedly taking bribe to generate muster roll in favour of the beneficiaries under MGNREG scheme and for facilitating release of pending balance payment in connection with a land development work.
The GRS demanded Rs 10,000 bribe from the complainant through Kamalakanta Pradhan (Private Person) of Sunarisikuan G.P.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from Pradhan by the Vigilance sleuths.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS Case No.27/2023 U/s 7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused persons, the Vigilance stated.
