In a press briefing, newly appointed BMC Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Singh said the civic body has developed an app to enable the patients to book the oxygen concentrators, which will be delivered at their homes along with leaflet describing how to use them.
The State Government has provided as many as 100 oxygen concentrators to the BMC and these will be provided to the patients, who are willing to get themselves treated at home, the BMC Commissioner said while adding that there has been a growing demand for oxygen concentrators from different quarters.
The BMC staffs have been trained to guide the people about oxygen concentrators, he said.
Talking about the COVID situation in the capital city, Singh said that the BMC is getting good results of lockdown and shutdown in reducing the positivity rate and daily positive cases in the city.
The BMC will further ramp up the testing in the city. A massive testing drive will be started at the crowded places soon, he said.
