Bhubaneswar: Today, India is celebrating Children’s Day. In our children lies the future of the nation. What we invest in the development of the Children today will decide the future of the country. The future of the country lies with the children and schools play an important role. Believing the transformative power of education and the joy it can bring to the lives of children, under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Odisha has been on a mission mode to transform its education sector. Schools are being transformed, teachers are being recruited and modern infrastructure is being created. Odisha has been transforming the education scenario through various interventions such as the High School Transformation program under 5T Initiatives, Mo School etc. The mission is to put smiles on the faces of young minds and empower them with knowledge.
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream big. Keeping this in mind, the Government of Odisha has been transforming the High Schools of the state under the 5T High School Transformation program. Under the 5T School Transformation Programme started in 2021, more than 6,883 high schools have been transformed with modern infrastructure. The aim is to transform all 8654 high schools of the state. Likewise, the process to transform the primary schools has already begun. According to sources, more than 15000 government primary schools in the state will be transformed in the near future. A total of 15,776 government primary schools in 16 districts have been selected for the development of FLN-friendly (Foundation Literacy and Numeracy) classrooms during the academic year 2023-24.
The above video made by Mo School depicts the sheer delight on children’s face when they get the most modern educative environment with new books, new school uniform, a chance to learn something new at par with the other private schools. The happy faces of these students is an inspiration for the government to keep pushing forward the transformation process.
