Mo Hospital Mo Garba, which translates into My Hospital My Pride, aims to encourage public participation and ownership in the development of state-run hospitals in the district.

The basic idea behind the initiative is to improve healthcare facilities for community through voluntarily donation in kind by the people, said Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange while launching the programme at the City Hospital here.

The Collector also donated blood as part of the initiative to encourage greater participation of people in the programme to improve healthcare services in the district.

Under the Mo Hospital Mo Garba programme, several initiatives such as mass cleaning, plantation drive and blood donation camps will be organized to create a positive image towards government hospitals, said Chief District Medical Officer of Ganjam, Dr. Bijay Kumar Panigrahy. Besides, efforts will be made to improve amenities in the hospital, he added.
