Chatrapur: The Ganjam district administration today placed a Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) in Kukudakhandi Block under suspension for allegedly violating the Odisha Government’s COVID-19 rules.
Pradeep Kumar Pattnaik, PEO of Ankhuspur GP has been placed under suspension with immediate effect as per the OCS (CC & A) Rule-1962 on the ground of violating the provisions of the Odisha COVID-19 Regulations 2020, an order issued by Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said.
The PEO has allegedly disobeyed the orders of Higher Authority and has not maintained social distancing during distribution of social security assistance to the beneficiaries of Ankushpur GP on March 31.
The headquarters of Pradeep Kumar Pattnaik will be Sub-Collector Office, Berhampur during the period of suspension, the order stated.
