Rourkela: A medical officer was caught red handed while accepting bribe in Sundargarh district on Friday.
Dr. Sradhakar Gartia ,Medical Officer I/C cum- Superintendent ,Hemagiri CHC in Sundargarh district has been caught red handed by officers of Vigilance, Rourkela Division while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.5000 from Kalpana Patel, Ex- Multi-purpose Health Worker (Female) of Hemagiri CHC for regularization of her leave period.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of Dr Gartia . The government residential quarter and office chamber of Dr Gartia at the campus of Hemagiri CHC and his Residential building situated at Sambalpur Town are being searched on DA angle, the vigilance department said.
