On the advice of Prof Dr Charan Panda, a team of doctors of MKCG including Asst Prof Dr Sanjit Kumar Nayak, Dr Subrat Baral, Dr Pratibha and Dr Satyaswarup Patnaik and others undertook an operation for removing the glass. According to the hospital sources, the person was working at a cotton mill in Surat. When he was having a drinks party with his friends, they forcibly inserted the steel glass into his anus under the influence of alcohol. After two days, he came back to his Balipadar village in Ganjam and out of shame, he did not divulge the events to anyone. But after getting severe pain in the stomach, he went to the Hospital on 19th August, where the doctors were astonished after primary check up.
