Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra today urged the NHAI officers to start the repair works at NH-55, particularly from Banarpala to Angul, on war footing.
Realizing the public inconvenience caused by bad condition of NH-55, the Chief Secretary called for a high level meeting between NHAI and senior officers of the State.
Joining the meeting through video conferencing, Angul Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain apprised the Chief Secretary about the ground level situation.
The Chief Secretary directed the NHAI officers to start the repair works soon on war footing.
He also directed to keep the road in good condition for smooth movement of the traffic.
The Chief Secretary also urged to expedite construction of Angul City bypass road of NHAI.
CGM, NHAI assured that repair and maintenance works would start soon.
