New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi during 250th session of Rajya Sabha has lauded Biju Janata Dal for its discipline and effective presentation of State’s issues in the Upper House of the Parliament.

Addressing the historic 250th session, PM said, “Today I want to appreciate two parties– NCP and BJD. These parties have wonderfully adhered to Parliamentary norms. They have never ventured into the well. Yet, they have made their points very effectively. Much can be learnt from these practices”.

PM also described 250th session as a moment of pride for democracy. Describing the upper house as eternal and the soul of India’s federal structure, Modi said it is the place which values experience of those who excel in their respective professions
Heaping praises on the Upper House of Parliament, PM Modi said that Rajya Sabha is the second house and not the secondary house. “In fact, it should act remain the supportive House,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called it a journey of ideas and thoughts, which reflects India’s journey of progress. “This House has seen many historic moments. It has made history also and has seen history being made as well. It is a far-sighted house,” said Modi.
