Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced the appointment of business leader Subrato Bagchi as the Chairman of Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) in the rank and status of a Cabinet Minister.
Bagchi, the co-founder of Indian multinational IT and outsourcing company Mindtree, had previously served as the chairman of OSDA. He quit the post in March this year to return to Bengaluru to ‘save’ Mindtree.
The entrepreneur is likely to retire from Mindtree’s Board next month, media reports stated.
The Odisha Government has also appointed Bijoy Sahoo as Advisor of Odisha Adarsa Vidyalaya Sangathan in the rank and status of minister of state.
