The senior BJP leader reportedly sustained injuries when a tractor collided head on into the car, in which he was travelling.
The mishap took place near Podasula Chhak in Nilagiri area.
Sarangi was immediately rushed to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital for treatment, according to reports.
