Odia IRS Officer Rasmi Ranjan Das Among 25 Tax Consultants Appointed To UN Tax Committee

New Delhi: Senior Indian Revenue Service officer and Joint Secretary in the Finance Ministry, Rasmi Ranjan Das has been appointed as a consultant to the United Nations Tax Committee.

He is one of the 25 tax experts appointed from various countries by the UN. He will be the member of the UN tax committee till 2025.

The UN Committee of Consultants on Worldwide Cooperation in Tax Issues assists countries in of their efforts to forestall double or a number of taxations in addition to non-taxation, broaden their tax base, strengthen their tax administrations, and curb worldwide tax evasion and avoidance.

Rasmi Ranjan Das is currently officiating as the Joint Secretary, Central Board of Direct Taxes, Division of Income, Ministry of Finance.
