Bhubaneswar: At least 20 passengers were reportedly injured after the bus in which they were travelling fell into a nullah near Pitapali of Khordha district on Saturday.
The bus was travelling from Khordha to Bhubaneswar when the mishap occurred.
As per the reports, the driver had lost control of the steering wheel which caused the bus to fell into a roadside nullah. Around 35 passengers were travelling on the bus.
First aid has been provided to the injured and six passengers requiring higher treatment has been referred promptly through ambulances, informed the Khordha district administration.
“Grateful to the local people who acted as first responders & praying for faster recovery of the injured. All medical expenses will be borne by the District administration. CDMO and senior officials have been asked to be in touch with the injured”, the Khordha Collector said.
