Bhubaneswar: As part of the reforms in the Plus II study curriculum, the Odisha Government has made 75 per cent attendance compulsory for the students.
If a student fails to get the minimum attendance in the first year will not be promoted to the second year, official sources said.
The Government has also urged the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) to include some portion of first-year syllabus in the second year board exams so that students will not take first-year casually, sources said.
According to School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash, mandatory attendance will definitely bring seriousness among the students for their studies.
