Bhubaneswar: As many as 96 inmates of Special Jail, Jharpada here tested positive for COVID-19.
The positive cases have been detected from the jail after the 195 swab samples of inmates were tested by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), according to media reports.
Nine jail staffs were also infected by the virus.
The infected prisoners and staffs of the jail have been kept in isolation by the Jharpada jail authorities.
