Bhubaneswar: The annual tribal fair, popularly known as Adivasi Mela 2020 will kick start from January 26 at IDCOL Exhibition Ground here in the city.
Adivasi Mela is the most vibrant and color festival that celebrates the art, culture, dance, handicrafts and handlooms of the Odisha’s indigenous communities.
The annual festival, organized by the Odisha Government’s ST&SC Development Department, will continue till February 9.
The major attractions of the festival includes Adivasi village, Adivasi weekly market, food stalls, dance area, tourism site and handicrafts zone.
The Adivasi Mela 2020 will gathering of the 62 tribes people including 13 PTGs at the exhibition ground with their ethnic mosaic.
Besides, various tribal products such as natural juice, turmeric, honey, ragi, bajra, clothes, tribal jewellery and home decors will be displayed at the festival.
The preparation for the festival is in full swing, official sources said.
