Bhubaneswar: All educational institutions in Odisha will remain closed tomorrow in the wake of Bharat bandh call given by the central trade unions.
As a precautionary measure to ensure safety of the students, the Odisha Government has annonunced closure of the educational institutions across the State, said a notification.
Besides, ICAR NET examination, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, ASRB which would be conducting the examination between January 8 and January 10 across the country has released a notification.
However, in case of unforeseen circumstances, if the examination on January 8 is not conducted, then it would be conducted on January 11, 2020. In the case of this eventuality, the examination venue, slot and timing of the examination would remain unchanged, it added.
Notably, ten central trade unions have called for all-India strike in order to press for 14 point charter of demands.
Trade unions like INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, LPF, UTUC and several independent federations and associations had adopted a declaration in September 2019 to hold a nationwide strike on January 8, 2020.
