Bhubaneswar: In a significant move, the Odisha Government has granted one more compensatory attempt to the candidates to appear the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) and Combined Competitive Recruitment Examinations (CCRE) 2020.
The aspirants, who have attained upper age limit or exhausted attempts will now get one more chance to appear the exams.
The General Administration and Public Grievances Department has issued a notification in this regard.
“The intending candidates who have appeared in OCS-2018 or OCS-2019 examinations, but are otherwise ineligible to appear/compete in the OCS-2020 examination, on account of the attainment of upper age limit or exhaustion of the attempts prescribed under the Rules, shall be allowed one more additional compensatory attempt for appearing in OCSE- 2020. This shall come into force with immediate effect”, the notification said.
The provisions of the OCS (CCRE) Rules, 1991 are being separately amended to the above extent, it added.
